We’re a small multi-disciplinary team driven to make great products, and have led hundreds of consumer products to market launch. We care deeply about the details—how something looks, how it feels, how it works, and how it’s made. From the first sketch to the final product, we bring thoughtfulness, energy, and intention to everything we build.
Nathan Causey
Nathan isn't your typical engineer. He has the analytical, detail-driven mindset you'd expect, but what really drives him is building relationships while building products. After graduating from Georgia Tech with a degree in Mechanical Engineering, he joined one of the largest consumer products companies in the US as a design engineer — quickly growing into a team leader known for running projects well and forging strong, lasting cross-functional relationships. A creative problem solver and critical thinker, Nathan loves the full arc of making things: taking an idea from a passing thought all the way to mass production and beyond. Outside of work, you'll find him with his wife, four kids, and dog, mountain biking, playing roller hockey, or tackling the next project around the house.
David may make a rare case for being equally right and left brained. Having attended Georgia Tech initially for mechanical engineering, he ultimately received dual-degrees in engineering and industrial design while throwing in a marketing certificate to keep things interesting. He values the opportunity to strengthen brands through good design and engineering. Throughout his career, he has sought to maintain positions that offer an ability to utilize both skillsets such as studio engineering and advanced concepts roles. He has experience working as an industrial designer in a firm and also as a product development engineer in a small company, in which many hats were required. David is a driven team player whose hobbies include competing in triathlon, woodworking, and charting new adventures with his family of five.

JP Kiernan-Lewis
JP is a product design engineer based in Atlanta, Georgia. Since graduating from the University of Florida with a degree in mechanical engineering, he has guided over seventy products through every stage of the development process—from tripods and camera filters to phone cases and booster seats—taking them from concept sketch all the way to mass production. By combining human-centered design methods with a strong foundation in engineering fundamentals, he focuses on creating thoughtfully designed products that balance aesthetics, function, and real-world impact. JP is also the founder of artifactual, with a focus on building small-batch tools and objects. Outside of the studio, he spends time honing his skills as a landscape photographer, backpacker, pizza maker, aviation enthusiast, avid reader, and amateur naturalist.
